Prem Leela - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

Well, since the film is all about the comeback of Salman Khan as Prem, his entry song has to be the highlight. Well, Prem Leela seems to be exactly that. Lyrically, the song is a narration of Ram Leela and the makers very smartly even released it pre-Dasshera, which celebrates Lord Ramas win over Raavan. Sung by Aman Trikha, Vineet Singh and quite a vibrant chorus, the song is high on the beats. Of course, the song has low chances to become a popular audio track but the video featuring Salman is surely endearing. This is a song that you will only enjoy in a film, not as a separate audio track.

Prem Ratan Dhan Payo - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

The title track of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is a complete throwback to the 90s. The chorus clubbed with a desi instrumentation makes this track sound just like many other Rajshri film songs. Palak Muchhals vocals do a great job as it brings out certain sweetness, complimenting well with the lyrics. If you are a fan of out and out desi numbers, this song could appeal you.

Jalte Diye - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

There are two types of romantic songs, one is slow-paced yet urban Ishqwala Love type or the Rajshri produced, Pehla Pehla Pyaar Hai types. Jalte Diye is a reminder of Vivaahs Mujhe Haq Hai. It is quite difficult to connect to such songs, mainly because they revel on the concepts of pure love, the sharmanewale songs. Sung by Harshdeep Kaur, Vineet Singh and Shabab Sabri, the song is quite a passable number. It will drain you out in the first hearing itself.

Aaj Unse Milna Hai - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

Aaj Unse Milne Hai is an unintentionally funny number. The song lyrics revolve around the excitement one has before meeting their someone special. Shaan croons it with full feel and straight from the heart and that is actually the only thing that works in this song. Considering that it is a situational number, I hope at least the video will be interesting enough.

Jab Tum Chaho - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

Since the album has ten songs, one tends to lose his patience halfway itself considering that there is not a good build up from start. Jab Tum Chaho turs out to be an extremely boring number that appeals neither musically nor lyrically. Even though skilled singers like Palak Muchhal and Mohammed Irrfan take to the mic, there is something amiss with this song. It fails to make any connect with you as an audio track and hence I expect it to have much more depth when it comes to the video.

Haalo Re - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

Composer Himesh Reshammiya gives full Gujarati flavor with Haalo Re. The beats are synonymous to those that play during the Navratri fest which is celebrated with the Dandiya dance. Aman Trikha croons it with full gusto and I am expecting the song to be a fun watch.

Bachpan Kahan - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

Composer HimeshReshammiya as always takes to the mic for one song at least in his album and it is Bachpan Kahan. Strangely, this is actually the best song from the entire album. The lyrics describing childhood and its good times are written straight from the heart. For a family drama, the song is a perfect fit and we expect it to crop up at an emotional moment in the film. Himesh underplays his usual picth for this song and it does sound better.

Murli Ki Taanon Si - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

Murili Ki Taanon Se is a situational number. The track runs over a minute and has been sung by Shaan. It is slow-paced and probably comes for a crucial scene in the film.

Aaj Unse Kehna Hai - Prem Ratan Dhan Payo Music Review

Aaj Unse Kehna is a female version of Aaj Unse Milna Hai. The female vocals have been crooned by Palak Muchhal. Towards the end, this song continues with the title track sung by the chorus and it seems this would be played at the climax of the film.
